Abstrakt: Práca sumarizuje základnú terminológiu vrásovo-násunových pásiem a predkladá návrh na používanie niektorých nových termínov v slovenčine. V úvodnej časti je predmetom samotný termín vrásovo-násunové pásmo a jeho používanie v zahraničnej literatúre. Druhá časť obsahuje krátky terminologický slovník s ilustráciami. Práca nepodáva vyčerpávajúci prehľad o všetkých diskutovaných štruktúrach a termínoch. Záujemcom o túto problematiku odporúčame preštudovať vybrané tituly z použitej literatúry.

Abstract: The paper summarizes the basic Slovak terminology of the fold and thrust belts and proposes the usage and form of some new terms. In the introductory part, the term fold and thrust belts itself, and its usage in foreign literature is discussed, with original English texts quoted. The second part of the article contains a short glossary of terms with illustrations. The paper does not give an exhaustive overview of all the structures discussed. Those interested in this issue are recommended to study selected works from the cited literature.
